Our firm serves as counsel for public sector employers in a wide range of labor relations matters. We tailor our services to meet each client’s particular needs. While some clients prefer that we handle all aspects of labor relations, other clients prefer to resolve certain issues on their own while turning to us for only the most challenging problems. We can assist each client to make the best decision based upon their need, expertise, budget and resources. Our labor and employment services include collective bargaining, contract administration, prohibited practices, declaratory rulings, grievance and interest arbitration, mediation, employment discrimination claims, and other personnel matters.
Business and Commercial Law
Small and medium-sized businesses turn to us for practical legal advice and dispute resolution. We handle a wide range of issues affecting businesses including incorporations and dissolutions, shareholder and partnership agreements, contract drafting and review, employment and noncompete agreements, real property matters and commercial transactions.
Our attorneys have substantial experience in litigation, including matters related to commercial law, employment law, zoning, construction law and real estate. We recognize that litigation is a last resort, and we use our skills as litigators to avoid going to court. We also recognize, however, that at times disputes cannot be resolved without the aid of the court system. In those situations we zealously advocate for our client and seek a cost-effective resolution in our client’s best interest. We represent clients in circuit and appellate courts throughout Wisconsin and in federal courts throughout the United States. We have handles cases ranging from disputes over constitutional issues to cases seeking millions of dollars in damages.
